QTIC Destination Indigenous Queensland Young Achiever Award

We're incredibly proud of our very own Tia Hart, a young Kalkadoon woman who was awarded Queensland Tourism Industry Council's Destination Indigenous Queensland Young Achiever Award for 2024.

The award, supported by Australian Adventure Tourism Group and Shiift, aims to recognise outstanding young Indigenous leaders for their commitment and contribution to tourism.

Tia is recognised as an outstanding young Indigenous leader for her contribution to tourism.

She began her tourism career with Escape Parks, showing passion and dedication. Tia's resilience and adaptability shone through, and it quickly became evident that she had leadership potential. She is an invaluable member of our team and known for her supportive and positive attitude.

Tia's journey reflects a commitment to both her cultural heritage and professional growth. She has taken on the role of mentor and is passionate about education for young Indigenous Australians.

Tia's vision for Indigenous Queensland is a future where Indigenous communities are empowered through equal access to education and employment, allowing for sustainable growth and self-determination. She envisions a Queensland that deeply respects and celebrates Indigenous culture.

Tia received her award at QTIC’s Destination IQ - Queensland’s foremost annual First Nations tourism conference.

Congratulations Tia, we are so proud of you.
